About eat! berlin

Since 2011, eat! berlin has been Berlin's largest gourmet festival: ten days of top cuisine between Alexanderplatz, Brandenburg Gate, and Charlottenburg. Star chefs Tim Raue, Tony Hohlfeld, Daniel Schimkovitsch, and Christian Lohse will cook gala dinners, present their favorite wines, and develop dinner concepts and new collaborations. In 2026, eat! berlin celebrates its 15th edition with the premiere of a major sparkling wine fair at AXICA, Brandenburg Gate.

A Festival, Many Restaurants

eat! berlin is not a place, but a movement in Berlin's culinary calendar. Over ten days from late February to early March, the festival brings together top restaurateurs, sommeliers, winemakers, cheese producers, and pastry chefs for a series of gala dinners, tastings, workshops, and talk formats. Each event takes place in a different restaurant or event location — the journey from one appointment to the next is part of the concept.

What's Happening in 2026

The 15th edition opens on February 19, 2026, with The Number in the BEAST: a 5-course menu served by two-star chef Christian Lohse (formerly Fischers Fritz) together with Philipp Bergk at BEAST Berlin on Alexanderplatz. Other confirmed participants include Tim Raue (premiere of the new SpizzaPizza concept on February 24), Tony Hohlfeld (Restaurant Horváth, 2 stars), Daniel Schimkovitsch (POTS, 2 stars), Daniel Schmidthaler (The Coral), Elmar Simon (Macionga), Sascha Stemberg (Heritage), Martin Walter (Sawito), and Pierre Beckerling (Patio am Wasser). New in 2026 is the Sparkling Wine Fair at the AXICA Congress and Convention Center at Brandenburg Gate, featuring Sekt, Champagne, Crémant, Cava, Franciacorta, and PetNat.

Berlin as a Gastronomy Capital

With over 25 Michelin stars spread across around 20 restaurants, Berlin is now one of Europe's leading gourmet metropolises. eat! berlin is the annual showcase of this scene — it makes Michelin-starred restaurants, often difficult for outsiders to access, available to foodies, creates crossover evenings between otherwise separate restaurants, and positions the capital's cuisine as a location factor. The organizer is eat! berlin GmbH under Bernhard Moser.

eat! berlin — edition 2026

The 15th eat! berlin (anniversary edition) runs from February 19 to March 1, 2026, at various top restaurant locations in the capital. New in 2026: its own sparkling wine fair at the AXICA Congress Center at Brandenburg Gate, featuring Sekt, Champagne, Crémant, Cava, Franciacorta, and PetNat.

Ten days of programming ranging from 5-course gala dinners, crossover evenings, and culinary talks. Tickets per event via the website. Early booking recommended — the Tim Raue and opening gala dinners tend to sell out very quickly.
