About Häcke im Marstall
Häcke im Marstall — edition 2026
The May Häcke 2026 falls in the last week of May and thus in the classic season of Franconian spring wine. It is open from Thursday to Saturday from 4 PM, and on Sunday from 2 PM. Wines from the Churfranken region will be served, as well as the house's own drops from the vineyards of winemaker Logan Marshall – including classic Bacchus, Müller-Thurgau, and Silvaner wines, as well as selected barrique wines.
The atmosphere in the Marstall is familiar and warm: long tables invite you to linger, and the antipasti buffet satisfies small and large appetites. Reservations are not strictly necessary, but recommended for larger groups.

Häckerwirtschaft in the Princely Stables
The Princely Stables in Amorbach are part of the historic ensemble of Amorbach Castle, a former princely riding facility in the heart of the old town. Today, the listed building at Freihof 3 houses the wine and event venue Wine Not Kiwi, which invites you to the traditional Häckerwirtschaft in the last week of each month, from Thursday to Sunday.
A Franconian Tradition with a Modern Touch
The Häcke is an ancient tradition in the Franconian wine-growing region: winemakers are allowed to serve their own wine in their own establishment for a limited time and offer hearty delicacies. Wine Not Kiwi embraces this tradition and combines it with a contemporary concept of exquisite wines, lavish antipasti buffets, and warm hospitality. Owner and winemaker Logan Marshall serves drops from his own vineyards as well as selected wines from the Churfranken region.
In the Heart of the Bavarian Odenwald
Amorbach is located in the Miltenberg district, in the far west of Bavaria, at the transition from the Spessart and Odenwald forests. The town is known for its baroque abbey church, the Princely zu Leiningen Castle complex, and its vibrant cultural scene. The Häcke im Marstall is part of the town's cultural life and is listed in the official event calendar of the town of Amorbach.

More Than Just a Wine Festival
Beyond the monthly Häcke, the Marstall regularly hosts wine tastings, events, and culinary events. The close integration with the Churfranken event calendar makes Wine Not Kiwi a permanent fixture on the region's wine map.
