Yoga among Kampen's Dunes
Kampen is located in the north of the North Sea island of Sylt — part of the municipality of Sylt in the district of Nordfriesland in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The elegant and sophisticated town is famous for its red cliffs, white beaches, upscale gastronomy, and a clientele ranging from regular yoga studio attendees to Hamburg families and international Sylt holidaymakers. This exact clientele is the target group for the YO DAY Festival.
13 Hours of Programming
The festival runs from 9 AM until after 10 PM — 13 hours of programming in the spacious Avenarius Park on Kampen's Wadden Sea path. On several yoga areas with the backdrop of Sylt's dunes, 15 certified yoga teachers offer a diverse program with 22 workshops:
- Hatha Yoga — classic yoga practice
- Vinyasa Yoga — flowing movement sequences
- Yin Yoga — relaxing, long-held poses
- Pilates — body stability and movement
- Qi Gong — Chinese movement meditation
- Meditation — mindfulness and mental practice
- Acrobatic Yoga (AcroYoga) — partner yoga with acrobatic elements
- Dancehall — dance-based movement session
The Day at a Glance
Beginning with a beach class in the morning on the Wadden Sea path — yoga with a view of the North Sea mudflats. Afterwards, workshops in various yoga styles, with breaks for catering and relaxation. From 6:30 PM, Holi Dance — a colorful dance event with DJ performance and colorful pigment elements (inspired by the Indian Holi festival). This concludes the day as it began: in motion.

A Sylt Festival Tradition
The YO DAY clearly positions itself within Sylt's wellness and movement scene — alongside beach courses, yoga retreats in Kampen-Wenningstedt, and the island hotels' classic spa offerings. Organizers are Halima Elkasmi, Felicitas Sehlert, and Imke Wein. The aim: a festival for beginners and advanced practitioners, for island guests and locals alike.

YO DAY 2026 — The Day
From sunrise over the Wadden Sea to Holi Dance under the Sylt stars — YO DAY 2026 is a marathon of movement and mindfulness. Organizers Halima Elkasmi, Felicitas Sehlert, and Imke Wein bring 15 certified Yoga teachers to one location: Avenarius Park on Kampen's Wadden Sea path.
22 workshops are spread over 13 hours across several yoga areas. Accompanying this are vegan and vegetarian catering, body and sound massages, free childcare in the afternoon, and a raffle for day ticket holders. In case of very bad weather, workshops will be moved to the nearby Kaamp-Hüs.

Morning and Afternoon

Getting There
By train: Sylt Shuttle from Niebüll, direct connection Hamburg–Westerland. From Westerland station, take a bus or taxi to Kampen (10 min.). By plane: Sylt Airport (GWT), 15 min. taxi.
Alternative Venue
In case of very bad weather, workshops will be moved to the Kaamp-Hüs — the town's multi-purpose hall.
Tickets
Triple Ticket (3 workshops à 60 minutes + Holi Dance): €75. Day Ticket (all workshops): €115 (early bird €99 until June 1, 2026). Sale via sylt.de/veranstaltungen/yo-day.
What to Bring
