On July 4, 2026, the 45Hertz grounds on Lagerstraße will transform into a two-part stage for sophisticated electronic music. Daytime open-air with Stephan Bodzin, Monika Kruse, Âme, and RY X, from 11 PM the festival moves into the legendary Bunker Uebel & Gefährlich for the night session until 7 AM. Modus is entering its third edition — and remains one of the most conceptually well-thought-out electronic festivals in the Hanseatic city.

The third Modus edition runs on July 4, 2026, in a two-part stage structure: daytime open-air at the 45Hertz grounds in the Schanzenviertel, and from 11 PM, an indoor night session at Uebel & Gefährlich on Feldstraße. Stephan Bodzin, Monika Kruse, Âme, RY X, and Extrawelt are the focus.

2026 Edition — Third Run

Modus 2026 continues the proven day-night concept: a concentrated program on a single day, a clear separation between open-air and bunker night. Both locations are in western Hamburg, between Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli — a deliberate anchoring in the Altona and Hamburg-Mitte districts.

The third edition in 2026 runs on a single Saturday — a deliberate concentration that is refreshingly against the trend of multi-day maximization in Hamburg's festival landscape.

The 45Hertz Grounds as an Open-Air Stage

During the day (2 PM–10 PM), the 45Hertz grounds at Lagerstraße 18-24 will host the stage. In the Altona district, on the edge of the Schanzenviertel, the grounds in front of Hamburg Messe offer an industrial-urban backdrop — concrete, brick halls, train tracks in the background. Artistic installations and street art contributions are spread across the area, and a food court line provides the audience with creative street food cuisine.

Daytime Line-up: Stephan Bodzin to RY X

The daytime program features top figures from the international electronic scene: Stephan Bodzin with his analog live set, Monika Kruse as a Berlin techno heavyweight, Âme live with the unmistakably melodic-deep house of the Innervisions sound world, RY X as a DJ in a more ambient-oriented session, and Miyagi.

Night Session at Uebel & Gefährlich

From 11 PM, the festival moves into the former high-rise bunker at Feldstraße 66 — the venue "Uebel & Gefährlich" is one of Hamburg's iconic techno clubs. Here, sets by Extrawelt (live), Tommahawk, Vivi & Justice, Micah, Randali, and Moå will run until 7 AM. The transition from open-air to indoor night session is a deliberate staging — a dramatic arc spanning 17 hours.

More Than Music

Visual art and street art contributions play a central role in the festival's concept. Refined stage architecture, innovative visual concepts, and temporary installations transform the 45Hertz grounds into an immersive space that goes beyond pure music.
