17 days of open-air between Electro, HipHop and Latin in front of the Hamburg Messe
The 45Hertz grounds cover around 5,000 square meters in front of the West Entrance of the Hamburg Messe at Lagerstraße 4 — on the border between the Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli, in the Hamburg-St. Pauli district. The location is one of the best in the city: central connectivity, urban backdrop with brick halls and high-rise buildings, and at the same time enough space for a professional festival setting with several stages, an Open Art Area, a street food line, and lounge zones.
Unlike a classic weekend festival, 45Hertz Open Air runs for almost three weeks. From June 26 to July 12, 2026, live acts, DJs, and artists will flock to the grounds daily or weekly. The organizers thematically curate the days — Electro sessions, HipHop nights, Latin festivals, a "Block Party Deluxe" with German rap, and Family Days. This positions 45Hertz as a festival that doesn't want to be pigeonholed into one scene.
Stylistically, the spectrum ranges from high-quality Techno and House (the festival's original profile since 2018) to Funk, R&B, and Soul, to HipHop and Latin. The 2025 edition featured acts like Fritz Kalkbrenner, Nina Hepburn, and Samy Deluxe — proof of the format's reach. The official 2026 lineup will be announced successively in the weeks leading up to the opening.
The 45Hertz area functions as an experience space: talks, an Open Art Area with visual installations, Mexican Wrestling Battles as a playful and curious spectacle, and street food stalls from all over the world. Those who attend multiple days of the festival will experience a different setting each time. Family Days with "Ciao Ragazzi!" are aimed at families with children.
With around 4,000 visitors per day, the festival remains at a size that feels personal yet dense and energetic. Unlike at huge open-air events, you can move between stages within minutes without getting exhausted by crowds.
A special feature: 45Hertz offers weather insurance through its partner WETTERHELD — up to 300 EUR compensation per rainy day. A pragmatic response to the fact that North German summer weather is rarely reliable.
The festival returns in 2026 to the proven grounds at Lagerstraße 4. The thematic division of the days remains the central element: Electro Days, HipHop Nights, Latin Sessions, Family Days. The official lineup will be successively released by 45hertz.com in the weeks before the opening — a total of 21–30 acts are expected.
The program is divided into thematic event days and weekends:
Full lineup and daily themes will be published from the end of May 2026 on 45hertz.com.
Day tickets and weekend passes available — exact prices from May 2026 on 45hertz.com. Weather insurance via WETTERHELD up to 300 EUR per rainy day.
