Culinary wine festival with live music on Theodor-Heuss-Platz
When Theodor-Heuss-Platz in Bremerhaven becomes a wine mile, the enjoyable late summer season begins for many. For several days, wine merchants and restaurateurs invite visitors to tastings – right in the pedestrian zone, in the city centre. The organiser is Erlebnis Bremerhaven GmbH; the culinary wine festival has a long tradition and has firmly established itself in the Seestadt calendar over more than a dozen editions.
At the stalls, wine specialists and restaurants serve wines from different regions – regular participants include providers such as Wein Ahlfeld, Ludwig von Kapff, the Pfälzer Weintreff, or the Restaurant Dock IV. These are complemented by dishes such as tapas, tarte flambée, pasta, pretzels, and sweet specialities. Continuous live music provides the backdrop: from swing and jazz to cover songs and singer-songwriter sounds, with party bands in the evenings. This creates a relaxed festival atmosphere that lasts throughout the weekend.
To conclude, an open shopping Sunday complements the wine festival on Sunday: shops in the city centre, the Columbus-Center, and the outlet open their doors in the afternoon from approximately 12 PM to 5 PM. The short distances from Theodor-Heuss-Platz make visiting convenient, and enjoyment and a city stroll combine into a shared experience. Over the years, a loyal regular audience has developed around the festival.
