KarpfenMarktPlatz Neustadt a.d.Aisch

The KarpfenMarktPlatz 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, on the market square of Neustadt an der Aisch. It opens the Aischgrund carp season, which traditionally runs from September 1st to November 1st.

Local restaurateurs will offer carp in diverse preparations – baked, blau, Asian-style, and as carp burgers – complemented by Franconian wine and an entertainment program. The Aischgrund Carp Museum will be present with a stand and a live tank, alongside a farmers' market featuring regional products and a children's program.

Getting There

Neustadt an der Aisch is centrally located in the Aisch valley, accessible via the A3 motorway (Neustadt/Aisch exit) and by train (Neustadt (Aisch) station on the Würzburg–Nuremberg line). The festival takes place on the market square.

Admission

Admission to the KarpfenMarktPlatz is free; food, wine, and individual activities are paid for consumption.

Tip

A visit to the Aischgrund Carp Museum in the old castle is worthwhile – the museums open in the afternoon on the festival day.
