Leading International Trade Fair for the Logistics Industry
IAA Transportation is one of the world's most important events for the commercial vehicle and logistics industry. It replaced the previous IAA Commercial Vehicles in 2022 and has since positioned itself as a comprehensive platform for all topics related to freight transport. The organizer is the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) in cooperation with Deutsche Messe AG.
Motto WE DELIVER
The motto WE DELIVER refers to the dual meaning of the logistics industry: it physically delivers the goods that keep our economy running – and it technologically delivers the answers to the central transformation challenges: electrification, hydrogen propulsion, automation, digitalization of supply chains, efficiency improvements.
1700 Exhibitors, 50 Countries
Around 1700 exhibitors from over 50 countries will present their products and solutions. The range includes:

Press Day and Trade Visitors
On September 14, 2026, the Press Day will take place, where exhibitors will present their world premieres and innovations to the international trade press. From September 15 to 19, the fair will be open to trade visitors, followed by the Driver & Family Weekend for private visitors on September 20.
Driver & Family Weekend
The Driver & Family Weekend is a special feature of IAA Transportation. On the last day of the fair, it opens its doors to truck drivers and their families, as well as to interested individuals without a professional background. Special activities, vehicle demonstrations, truck driving simulators, and a family program make the final day a Volksfest (public festival) for the logistics industry.
145,000 Visitors
A total of around 145,000 visitors are expected over the six days of the fair. This makes IAA Transportation one of the major industry trade fairs in Europe and an economic factor for Hannover and the entire region.
IAA Transportation — edition 2026
The 2026 edition focuses on the key transformation themes of the industry: electrification and hydrogen as paths to climate-neutral heavy-duty transport, automation with initial series solutions for autonomous driving on highways and in depots, and digitalization of supply chains through AI-powered platforms and telematics.
Accompanying the exhibition is a dense program of conferences and presentations, where leading figures from the industry, politics, and research will discuss the tasks ahead. High-ranking international guests are expected.
