Carnival in Summer — Rhenish Tradition Reloaded

JECK EN DE CITY is an independent answer to the question of how Rhenish Carnival music works outside the traditional season. Instead of limiting itself to the classic February hall parties, the festival brings the Carnival stars of Cologne and the Rhineland to an open-air stage in midsummer — with a concept that blends festival, Carnival parade, and Wiesn atmosphere.

Top Lineup of Rhenish Carnival Music

The 2026 lineup reads like a who's who of Rhenish Carnival: On the Jeck-Stage, Kasalla, Höhner, Räuber, Miljö, Black Föss, Druckluft, Planschemalöör, 47KÖLLSCH, and Hatzblatt will perform. On the Après-Ski-Hütte, Füller, Kazumba, and Pia Sangria will provide Wiesn vibes. Up to 7,000 visitors are expected on the approximately 12-hectare festival grounds.

Target Audience and Ticket System

The festival is aimed at a young audience (age restriction from 16 years). Tickets are sold personalized (ID required at entry) and are available in several categories: Standard Ticket €64.90, After-Work Ticket (entry from 6 PM) €24.90, NextGen Ticket (16–19 years) €34.90. Groups of 6 or more receive discounts.

Hückelhoven in the Heinsberg District

Hückelhoven is located in the Heinsberg district in the far west of North Rhine-Westphalia, near the Dutch border. For decades, the town was the site of the hard coal mine Sophia-Jacoba; the "Zum alten Schacht" festival grounds with Sophiastraße are a reminder of this industrial past. Today, the former industrial wasteland is specifically used for large events like JECK EN DE CITY.

Mobility and Comfort

A free shuttle service between Erkelenz train station and the festival grounds runs every 40 minutes starting at 11:30 AM. Only cashless payment is accepted on-site; accessible entrances are available. Glass bottles and brought food are not allowed.
