The Hofweinfest am Garten is the early summer highlight at Weingut Baumann in Handthal, a district of Oberschwarzach in the Schweinfurt district. Weingut Baumann is one of the committed organic producers in the Franconian wine region and is part of the Steigerwald Wine Panorama Region. At the Hofweinfest, the new vintages are presented to the public for the first time. The selection ranges from light Bacchus and Silvaner wines to powerful single-vineyard wines from the surrounding steep slopes. Those who want to experience the entire range can book the Wein-Talk: at three stations in the garden and vineyard, vintners and sommeliers guide you through the categories 'from the farm', 'from the village', 'from the vineyards', and 'off the beaten track'.

Wein-Talk: Enjoyment with a System

For €20 per person, participants receive a map, a stamp booklet, and access to the three guided stations. Those who collect all the stamps receive a 10% discount in the farm shop afterwards. A playful form of wine tasting that delights both beginners and connoisseurs.

Handthal is located in the southern Steigerwald, one of Bavaria's most beautiful wine-growing areas. The slopes around Oberschwarzach belong to the Franconian wine region, whose distinctive Bocksbeutel bottle is known internationally. The Hofweinfest is part of the series of events of Franconian Hofweinfeste and Heckenwirtschaften (seasonal wine taverns) that characterize spring and summer in the region.
