Kulturnacht Vohenstrauß transforms the small town in the northern Oberpfalz into an open stage once a year. At several locations in the town center and in the Renaissance Friedrichsburg Castle, jazz, pop, theater, performance, and culinary stands alternate. The event was launched in 2015 and has become a firm cultural highlight in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district — supported by the Mittelständischer Wirtschaftsverein (SME Business Association) and the town of Vohenstrauß.

Kulturnacht Vohenstrauß — edition 2026

Kulturnacht Vohenstrauß 2026 will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, from 6 PM to 10 PM in the town center. At several music stations, jazz, pop, funk, and a multicultural dance music performance will meet. The program is complemented by theater in Friedrichsburg Castle, open shops, and the engagement of local gastronomy.

Kulturnacht 2026, following the success of previous years, relies on the proven concept: parallel stages in the middle of the town center, performances in the Renaissance Castle, and a varied program for all age groups. Admission is free at most venues. The town of Vohenstrauß and the MWV organize the evening together with numerous local clubs and restaurateurs.

The highlight of 2026 is the multicultural dance music performance "Ночной снег" (Night Snow) between 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM — an encounter between Eastern European and Central European sound traditions. The final performance at 9:45 PM brings together a funk-soul band, regional musicians, and DJs.
