A second night of listening at the harbour

The Mönchguter Lauschrausch is conceived as a concert series: several dates spread over the summer months, always at Thiessow harbour on the southeastern tip of Rügen. After the first date in July, a second open-air evening with the artist Eva follows in August. The extension into August allows high-summer holidaymakers to participate.

Thiessow Harbour as a stage

Located directly on the Bodden, with a view of the Bodden cutters and – in clear weather – of the mainland, the small Thiessow harbour forms an unusual open-air stage. The summer sunsets on the Mönchgut peninsula are not just a mood backdrop, but part of the experience. The concert runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Mönchgut – Biosphere Reserve and Season

The Mönchgut peninsula is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of Germany's oldest nature reserves. In summer, the Mönchgut spa administration maintains a diverse programme: distillery tours, historical school lessons in the school museum, hikes, yoga on the beach, and the Lauschrausch series. It is not the largest event in the region, but one of the most typical.

Service for spa guests

Overnight guests with a spa card and residents with a citizen card have free admission. The open harbour area remains accessible during the concert, so that walkers can also listen in casually. Information from the Tourist Information Middelhagen.
