About Adlershofer Herbstfest

The Adlershofer Herbstfest is one of the most important neighbourhood festivals in Berlin's Treptow-Köpenick district. Every year in September, the Alte Schule cultural centre in Adlershof and the neighbouring Verklärungskirche church are transformed into an open festival ground with a live stage, children's festival, flea market, street food, and hands-on activities. The patron is District Mayor Oliver Igel. 2026 will see the 26th edition — the date will be announced in the summer.

The Neighbourhood Festival of Southeast Berlin

When the chestnuts fall in September and the residents of Adlershof return to their daily routines after the summer holidays, the annual neighbourhood festival begins in the Adlershof district (Treptow-Köpenick). The Adlershofer Herbstfest has been organized for over 25 years by the Heimatverein Köpenick e.V. (Homeland Association Köpenick) and the Adlershofer Festkomitee (Adlershof Festival Committee), with District Mayor Oliver Igel as patron.

What to Expect

The central venue is the Kulturzentrum Alte Schule (Old School Cultural Centre) at Dörpfeldstraße 54-56. The courtyard, the rooms of the cultural centre, and the directly adjacent Verklärungskirche (Church of the Transfiguration) on Arndtstraße form a connected festival area:

  • Stage Program: Live music with local bands (2025: Ella19, Fairschärft, Leona Heine), children's dance groups, puppet theatre
  • Children's Festival on the grounds of the Evangelical Church: bouncy castles, face painting, games, penalty shootout with ABC 08 e.V.
  • Scuraluna Puppet Theatre: regularly for the youngest guests
  • Kiezklub Alte Schule: Creative activities (crafting, felting), cafeteria
  • Charity Flea Market: Books, games, toys, treasures — proceeds for charitable projects
  • Street Food and Drinks: Waffle stand, soups, bratwurst, coffee and cake
  • Information Stands: NABU, aid organizations, neighbourhood management

Adlershof — Science and Neighbourhood Culture

The district of Adlershof is now one of Berlin's most important science and business centres, with the Adlershof Technology Park (WISTA). At the same time, Alt-Adlershof — around Dörpfeldstraße and the Verklärungskirche — is a traditionally grown residential area with its own identity. The autumn festival connects both worlds: scientists from the technology park celebrate here with Alt-Adlershof residents and families from the surrounding residential streets.

Adlershofer Herbstfest — edition 2026

The 26th Adlershofer Herbstfest will take place in 2026, as in previous years, on a Saturday in September at the Kulturzentrum Alte Schule and the Verklärungskirche in Adlershof. The exact date and the full stage program, along with a list of participants, will be announced by the Adlershofer Festkomitee in the summer of 2026. Admission is completely free.

26th Adlershofer Herbstfest 2026 — Date to Follow

As in previous years, the Adlershofer Festkomitee, in cooperation with the Heimatverein Köpenick e.V., plans to hold the Adlershofer Herbstfest on a Saturday in September 2026. The exact date and stage program will be published in the summer of 2026 via adlershof-herbstfest.erwgrav.com and press releases from the Treptow-Köpenick district administration. District Mayor Oliver Igel is expected to remain the patron. The concept follows the established mix of live music on the main stage, a children's festival on the church grounds, a charity flea market in the courtyard of the Kulturzentrum Alte Schule, street food, and information stands from local initiatives.
