About 150 Years FF Sigmarszell
150 Years FF Sigmarszell — edition 2026
The 2026 anniversary edition combines four very different festival days. The kick-off on Thursday, July 23rd, features the Brotzeitbrettl-Party starting at 6 p.m. with West Allgäu specialties and cozy catering.
On Friday, July 24th, starting at 8 p.m., a DJ Night with the duo » Gestört aber Geil «, as well as DJ Marv, 2elements, and Louis Garcia, will take over the festival tent – a program item that makes the brigade known far beyond the West Allgäu. Saturday, July 25th, combines a team run for families and clubs with a party night. Sunday, July 26th, brings the traditional festival conclusion with a celebratory church service, a parade, and the regionally typical Hurahagel.

150 Years of St. Florian's Disciples in Sigmarszell
The Sigmarszell Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1876 and has been one of the most traditional fire brigades in the Lindau (Bodensee) district for 150 years. In July 2026, the brigade is commemorating this anniversary with a four-day festival weekend that combines classic festival traditions with modern program elements such as a DJ festival evening.
Four Festival Days with Different Characters
The festival weekend is clearly structured: Thursday, July 23rd, begins with a relaxed Brotzeitbrettl-Party starting at 6 p.m. – a cozy start with West Allgäu food and drinks. Friday, July 24th, belongs to the younger generation: A DJ Night with the nationally known DJ duo » Gestört aber Geil «, as well as DJ Marv, 2elements, and Louis Garcia, will create a festival atmosphere in the marquee. Saturday, July 25th, combines a sporting element with a party night: A team run for families and clubs in the afternoon, followed by a lively party night in the tent. Sunday, July 26th, brings the traditional festival conclusion with a celebratory church service, a parade, and the Hurahagel – a regional folk custom to round off the festival.
Sigmarszell – West Allgäu between Lake Constance and Pfänder
The municipality of Sigmarszell is located in the western Allgäu, not far from Lake Constance and the Austrian border. With around 2,600 inhabitants, it is part of the Lindau (Bodensee) district, the southwesternmost region of the state of Bavaria. From the festival grounds » In den Osterwiesen «, both Lake Constance and the Bregenzerwald mountains are reachable in a few minutes – a scenically particularly attractive location.
Hurahagel – A West Allgäu Custom
A special feature of the festival's conclusion is the Hurahagel, a folk custom still alive in the West Allgäu: On Sunday afternoon, the fire brigade comrades march through the town, throwing peas or small projectiles at each other and inviting guests for a final drink in the festival tent. The custom is symbolically linked to prayers for a good harvest and protection for the community.
Festival Tent, Catering, and Live Music
A regional brewery will provide draft beer in the large festival tent. The catering will be handled by the Sigmarszell Fire Brigade and friendly clubs: Brotzeit platters with West Allgäu cheese, bacon, and farmer's bread, as well as festival dishes such as pork knuckle, grilled fish, and roast chicken. A bouncy castle for children, fire brigade technology to touch, and hands-on activities for young guests will also complement the festival program.
