Advent Atmosphere at the Amtsturm

The Lüchower LichterGlanz is the central Christmas market of the district town of Lüchow in the Wendland region. The venue is the historic Schlossplatz am Amtsturm, a striking landmark of Lüchow's old town. On the 2nd Advent weekend — Saturday, December 5th, and Sunday, December 6th, 2026 — a atmospheric village of huts will be created here.

Village of Huts and Program

Exhibitors will set up their stalls as wooden huts around the Amtsturm — the architecture enhances the Advent atmosphere. Offered are:

• Arts and Crafts from the Wendland region: ceramics, textiles, wood, jewelry, felt
• Glühwein (mulled wine) in various varieties
• Bratwurst (sausage) and hearty snacks
• Christmas pastries, gingerbread, pralines
• Stage program with Christmas music, choirs, and children's performances

Proven Market

The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the autumn. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:

• Saturday, Dec 5th: Opening in the late morning, stage program, evening mulled wine atmosphere
• Sunday, Dec 6th: Family Day with a visit from St. Nicholas, fairy tale hours, winding down

The Wendland district town of Lüchow presents itself in its most beautiful light during Advent. Lighting, shop window decorations, and the historic architecture around the Amtsturm form a festive backdrop — the LichterGlanz is a meeting point for the entire region.
