A festival like a summer fairytale at the edge of the forest near Hergensweiler — over twelve hours of live music on two stages, family-friendly and affordable
The Woodstockenweiler Festival is one of those events that visitors rave about for a long time. On a green meadow at the edge of the forest near Hergensweiler (Stockenweiler district, Lindau district), a festival world emerges for one day, described as »heartfelt, open, and relaxed« — with colorful umbrellas, happy faces, and regulars who return year after year.
The festival was founded by three musicians — Daniel Knapp, Benny Spähn, and Matze Klebusch — with a clear principle: the festival should remain affordable for everyone. This attitude shapes it to this day. The »Woodstockenweiler Crew« takes care of technical aspects, catering, and backstage; the event is supported by a lot of volunteer commitment.
Musically, Woodstockenweiler is deliberately diverse: punk, ska, reggae, rock'n'roll, indie, blues, and rap stand side by side. Music is played on two stages — over twelve hours of continuous live music, with no gaps between performances. The lineup regularly features bands from all over the world, from Australia and Ecuador to France.
Families with children are an integral part of the audience. »Woody's Meadow« offers bouncy castles, craft stations, face painting, and volleyball. Free bus lines bring guests to the grounds, and parking is free — this is also part of the commitment to keeping the festival accessible to everyone. Thousands of visitors thus experience a cross-generational festival weekend in the Allgäu.
The 12th edition runs on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Stockenweiler open-air grounds (Unternützenbrugg, 88138 Hergensweiler). Two stages will feature over twelve hours of continuous live music — from punk, ska, and reggae to rock'n'roll and indie, blues, and rap. The lineup includes bands from around the world; confirmed acts include The DeadBeatz and Élise Frank, along with acts from Australia, Ecuador, and France, among others. For families, »Woody's Meadow« offers bouncy castles, craft stations, face painting, and volleyball. Free bus lines and free parking are part of the concept.
