A Concert with a Stance
ZukunftsMusik is a special concert project by the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic. It addresses sustainability and climate protection, combining classical music with socially relevant engagement. For General Music Director Daniel Geiss, ZukunftsMusik is a passion project: Once a year, he opens his orchestra's concert stage to many contributors who bring their ideas on a predetermined theme.
Theme »Water«
The third edition of ZukunftsMusik is dedicated to the theme »Water«. Water as the basis of life, as a resource, and as an ecological issue is the focus of an evening that links classical music with contributions from regional businesses, schools, and the city of Neubrandenburg. This creates a concert that goes far beyond the usual format and invites the audience to engage.
Community Project of the City
ZukunftsMusik is realized in collaboration with regional partners, schools, and the city administration. Thus, the concert also serves as an example of how an orchestra takes responsibility in its urban community beyond pure music education.
