In previous years, the ZukunftsMusik concert project by the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic already brought sustainability and climate protection to the stage of the Konzertkirche. Under the direction of GMD Daniel Geiss, the editions combined classical music with contributions from schools, businesses, and the city community.
The ZukunftsMusik concert project established itself in the years before 2026 as a special format by the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic. Each edition was dedicated to a topic related to sustainability and climate protection and opened the concert stage to many contributors.
GMD Daniel Geiss thus guided the audience towards the connection between classical music and social engagement. The preceding editions laid the foundation for the water-themed third edition in 2026.
