First edition of the open-air festival in Zabergäu — three days with EDM, Schlager summer party, and family day at Balzhof
The Zabergäu Beats Festival will celebrate its premiere in 2026. The organizer is Morast GbR from neighboring Brackenheim — attempting an ambitious mix with its first edition: Three days, three very different musical worlds, one location at Balzhof in Güglingen.
On Friday evening (August 28, 2026), the festival kicks off with an EDM party: pulsating beats, light shows, and multiple DJs on the main stage. Target audience: young, party-going crowd that enjoys electronic dance music.
On Saturday (August 29, 2026), the genre completely shifts: Schlager summer party with 11 top acts from the Schlager and party scene. Schlager music has experienced a massive renaissance among younger audiences in recent years — acts like Mickie Krause, Lorenz Büffel, Mia Julia, and others fill festival tents and open-airs across Southern Germany. With eleven acts, Zabergäu Beats offers dense programming.
On Sunday (August 30, 2026), there's a complete change of theme: Family day with attractions for all ages. This positions the festival not just as a party event, but also as a family offering that attracts a different audience and rounds off the weekend.
The venue is the Balzhof in Güglingen — an open-air site in the Heilbronn district. Zabergäu is a gently rolling landscape with a tradition of wine cultivation between Stromberg and Heuchelberg, characterized by small wine villages like Cleebronn, Eibensbach, Brackenheim, and Güglingen itself. The location away from major cities is part of the concept — a festival atmosphere in a rural context, with ample space for the stage, food trucks, bars, and camping options.
Tickets are sold through the official festival shop (ditix platform) as day tickets or combo tickets. The festival is supported by local breweries (Distelhauser Brauerei), security services, beverage companies, and event technology providers from the region. A limited merchandise collection (hoodies, apparel) is also part of the launch concept.
As this is the first edition, the 2026 program defines the festival's identity profile: three clearly separated worlds over three days. Whether this concept will hold and establish itself depends on visitor feedback — currently, everything is focused on the August date, with dense programming and well-known Schlager acts on Saturday.
