Summer evening celebration on the Rotweinweg in Bühl's wine-growing district
Eisental is one of seven districts of the town of Bühl (Rastatt district) and the quintessential wine-growing district of the region. Nestled between the foothills of the Black Forest and the Upper Rhine Plain, it primarily grows Spätburgunder — the famous Bühler Rotwein (red wine) — as well as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Grauburgunder. When the vines are in full bloom in July, the Turnverein Eisental (TV Eisental) invites you to the Winzerfest on the local festival grounds, together with the vintners, the Junge Eisentäler Garde (Young Eisental Guard), and other clubs.
The concept has been proven for years: long festival benches, a party band, a well-stocked wine bar with local vintages, hearty festival food from the grill, and Flammkuchen (tarte flambée) from a wood-fired oven. In 2026, Münchner Zwietracht, known in southern Germany for their Schlager and party hits, will perform. The atmosphere builds gradually — those who book tickets in advance at the TV Geschäftsstelle (club office) not only secure a cheaper admission price but can also choose their own table freely.
Anyone visiting the Winzerfest should combine the day with a hike on the Eisentäler Rotweinweg. This circular trail leads through the vineyards above the village, offers views of the Black Forest, the Bühlertal valley, and on clear days, as far as the Vosges mountains. It is a true pleasure trail with numerous "Hocketsen" (informal gatherings) and "Straussen" (seasonal wine taverns) along the route. The Baden cuisine to accompany it — from Saumagen (stuffed pig's stomach) to Schäufele (pork shoulder) and Hochzeitssuppe (wedding soup) — is well represented at the festival grounds.
The 2026 Winzerfest in Bühl-Eisental is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026. On stage will be Münchner Zwietracht — a band known in southern Germany for Schlager, party, and folk music, ensuring full dance floors. The wine bar will feature the classics of Eisental viticulture: Spätburgunder, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Grauburgunder, all from the Bühlertal valley. Accompanied by Flammkuchen, Schäufele, fries, Bratwurst, and vegetarian options.
Those who buy tickets in time benefit: €15 in advance at the TV Geschäftsstelle, including free table selection ("The early bird catches the worm," say the organizers), €17.50 regular via Eventim. Admission from 16 years of age.
Before visiting the festival, a hike on the Eisentäler Rotweinweg is recommended. It leads through the vineyards above the village and passes several "Strausswirtschaften" (seasonal wine taverns).
Eisental is a district of Bühl. Take the train to Bühl, then bus line 244 to Eisental. By car, take the B3 / A5 exit Bühl. Parking is signposted on the outskirts of town during the festival.
Advance booking at TV Eisental Geschäftsstelle: €15 incl. free table selection. Eventim: €17.50. Admission from 16 years of age.
Hike the Eisentäler Rotweinweg during the day, then relax at the festival in the evening. If possible, stay overnight in one of Bühl's "Winzerstuben" (vintner's inns).
