Wine Festival in the Liebliches Taubertal
Tauberrettersheim is located in the southernmost part of Unterfranken (Bavaria, Würzburg district) in the Liebliches Taubertal – a traditional wine-growing region on the Franconian Tauber river. The community's annual wine festival is one of the most convivial events in the region and takes place in the festival tent directly on the banks of the Tauber.
Franconian Wine and Festival Tent Atmosphere
For five days, everything revolves around Franconian wine: regional vintages from local winemakers, accompanied by Franconian delicacies and culinary specialties. The festival tent by the water creates the typical relaxed wine festival atmosphere, where locals and guests from all over the Taubertal meet.
Program with Wine Queen and Festival Evenings
The program includes the festive opening with the Wine Queen, several festival evenings with the Franconian wine royalty, lively music, and a family day with wine tasting. The festival is organized by the Tauberrettersheim Wine Festival Community, supported by local clubs and the village community.
50 Years of Wine Festival – An Anniversary
In 2026, the Tauberrettersheim Wine Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary. Half a century of wine festival tradition shows how deeply the festival is rooted in local life – a vibrant piece of Franconian wine culture on the Tauber river.
Weinfest Tauberrettersheim — edition 2026
For its 50th anniversary, the Tauberrettersheim Wine Festival Community invites you to the festival tent on the banks of the Tauber from May 13th to 17th, 2026. For five days, Franconian wine, culinary specialties, music, and a family program combine to create a special anniversary celebration.
The opening is on Wednesday, May 13th, with Wine Queen Regina I.; on Friday, May 15th, the Bayern-1-Disco takes place; Saturday, May 16th, is the grand festival evening with the Franconian wine royalty; on Sunday, May 17th, there is a family program including an anniversary wine tasting.

Festival tent on the banks of the Tauber, May 13–17, 2026:
- Wednesday, May 13 — Festival opening with Wine Queen Regina I.
- Friday, May 15 — Bayern-1-Disco
- Saturday, May 16 — Grand festival evening with the Franconian wine royalty
- Sunday, May 17 — Family program and anniversary wine tasting for the 50th anniversary
Franconian wines from local vintners will be served all days, along with Franconian delicacies and festival tent entertainment. The exact times and music groups will be published by the Wine Festival Community via daily flyers and on tauberrettersheim.de.

Tauberrettersheim is located in the Liebliches Taubertal, Würzburg district, near the border with Baden-Württemberg. By car via the A7 (exit Röttingen/Tauberrettersheim) or the B19. Public transport via Bad Mergentheim/Weikersheim and bus into the Taubertal.
