Volksfest on the Schlierach
The Volksfest Hausham takes place every year in June on the Festplatz an der Schlierach (Am Sportplatz, 83734 Hausham). Hausham is located in the Miesbach district between Schliersee and Tegernsee – a region where the Volksfest is a social summer institution. The organiser is the municipality of Hausham, and the festival host for the large beer tent is Hans Seidl.
Ten days of beer tent, carousels, and Bavarian delicacies
In addition to the festival tent, the festival grounds feature classic folk festival attractions: carousels and amusement rides, children's rides, shooting galleries, tombola stalls, and sweet stands. In the beer tent, cover bands alternate; the festival host's catering offers roast chicken, pork knuckles, and Bavarian delicacies, along with one of the local festival beers. Admission to the festival is free.
Hausham and the Miesbach district
Hausham is a municipality with around 8,000 inhabitants. The Volksfest is one of the largest regular events in the municipal calendar and attracts guests from the entire Miesbach district – especially from Schliersee, Miesbach, Hausham itself, and the Tegernsee municipalities. In the Bavarian foothills of the Alps, it is part of a dense chain of festivals between pre-Wiesn celebrations and autumn district festivals.

From June 5 to 14, 2026, the municipality of Hausham invites you to this year's Volksfest. On the festival grounds on the Schlierach (Am Sportplatz), ten days of beer tent with host Hans Seidl, amusement rides, shooting galleries, and Bavarian delicacies await visitors.
Admission to the festival is free. On weekdays, the festival grounds open at 2:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM. The festival office is staffed daily from 5:00 PM.

Getting there
Hausham is accessible via the B307 from Munich (approx. 1 hour). Hausham train station on the Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB) Munich – Bayrischzell line. The festival grounds on the Schlierach are within walking distance of the station.
Opening hours
On weekdays, festival operations start at 2:00 PM; on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 AM. The festival office is staffed daily from 5:00 PM.
Admission
Free admission. Payment is made in the beer tent, at the shooting galleries, and on the amusement rides.
