Right on the north shore of Schliersee, nestled in the impressive Upper Bavarian mountain scenery, the lake festival invites you for three days every year to the Seefestwiese. Delicacy stands, beer and prosecco bar, DJ parties, a traditional 'Heimatabend' (homeland evening) with brass music, alphorn blowers and traditional costume groups, as well as a colorful fireworks display over the lake make the festival one of the most atmospheric summer events in the Schliersee Valley.

Seefest Schliersee — edition 2026

The Seefest Schliersee 2026 will take place from Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, July 26th, on the Seefestwiese on the north shore. It will feature delicacy stands, DJ music on Friday, a traditional Saturday with a 'Heimatabend' and fireworks around 10 PM, and a Sunday with club performances and the Oache Brothers unplugged concert starting at 8 PM.

From July 24th to 26th, 2026, the Seefest will once again invite visitors to the Seefestwiese on the north shore of Schliersee (Perfallstraße 4, near monte mare). Friday from 5 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 3 PM each day.

Friday starts with delicacy stands, grill, beer, Sixtl, and prosecco bars, and DJ music. Saturday is dedicated to tradition with a 'Heimatabend' (brass music, alphorn, whip crackers, traditional costumes) and fireworks around 10 PM. Sunday offers club performances, a children's program, afternoon music, and the unplugged concert by the Oache Brothers.

Getting There

Take the Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) from Munich to Schliersee station, then a few minutes' walk to the Seefestwiese. Parking is available at Schliersee station, but it fills up quickly during the festival – travel by train is recommended.

Summer Festival on the Lakeside

The Seefest Schliersee is one of the most popular summer festivals in the Miesbach district. The venue is the Seefestwiese on the northern shore of Schliersee, very close to monte mare. For three days, the festival combines Upper Bavarian tradition, culinary diversity, and entertainment against one of the most beautiful mountain backdrops in the Bavarian Prealps.

Tradition and Club Life

While Friday kicks off the evening with DJ music and bar service, Saturday focuses on tradition and club life: a Heimatabend (homeland evening) with the Schliersee brass band, alphorn blowers, whip crackers ('Goaßlschnalzer'), and traditional costume groups. On Sunday, dance, gymnastics, and sports groups perform, accompanied by afternoon music and a live concert to round off the event.

Family Program and Fireworks

For children, there will be face painting, a bouncy castle, pony rides, and hands-on activities on Saturday and Sunday. The highlight is the fireworks on Saturday evening around 10 PM, which illuminate the sky over Schliersee in a riot of color. In recent years, it has been consciously designed to be quieter and synchronized with music to protect people and animals by the lake.
