Summer Festival on the Müritz
The Seefest Röbel/Müritz is the traditional town and harbour festival of the town of Röbel in the Mecklenburg Lake District of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It takes place every summer in July and transforms the town on the southwest bank of the Müritz into a large festival mile with a programme for the whole family for three days.
Four Stages and Historical Camp
The festival is spread across several venues. Live music is offered on the market square, Mühlenberg, Kirchplatz, and in the festival tent at the harbour – the Kirchplatz hosts the popular Irish stage. Behind the town wall in Predigerstrasse, the Morizaner-Sippe sets up its historical camp and showcases medieval life with demonstrations and a programme.
Neptune Opens the Festival
The Seefest is traditionally opened on the market square: The mayor, together with Neptune and his entourage, welcomes the guests. A festival parade then leads to the harbour, where it continues with a baptism ceremony and children's programme. The funfair and traders' mile complete the maritime Volksfest (folk festival).
Fireworks Display Over the Lake
The highlight of the Seefest is the grand fireworks display, which is set off over the Müritz on Saturday evening and bathes the night lake in colour. The spectacle can be watched from the shore and from boats. The fireworks form the glittering conclusion to the second day of the festival.
Getting There
Röbel/Müritz is accessible via the A19 (Röbel exit) and the B198. The town harbour, market square, and old town are centrally located. Admission to the Seefest is free.
Seefest Röbel — edition 2026
The 69th Seefest Röbel/Müritz runs from July 17 to 19, 2026. Enjoy three days of live music on four stages located at the marketplace, Mühlenberg, the church square with its popular Irish stage, and the festival tent at the harbor.
The event begins on Friday at 2:00 PM at the marketplace with the Benthullen-Habern shanty choir from our twin town, Wardenburg. At 3:00 PM, Mayor Matthias Radtke will officially open the festival alongside Neptune and his retinue, followed by a parade to the harbor featuring a baptism ceremony and children's activities. Behind the town wall, the Morizaner clan will set up their historical camp. The grand fireworks display will light up the sky over the Müritz on Saturday night at approximately 10:45 PM.

Friday — July 17, 2026
- 2:00 PM — Kick-off at the marketplace with the Benthullen-Habern shanty choir from our twin town, Wardenburg
- 3:00 PM — Official opening by Mayor Matthias Radtke with Neptune and his entourage, followed by a parade to the harbor
- Children's program at the harbor with a baptism ceremony
- Live music on four stages until late at night
Saturday — July 18, 2026
- From 10:00 AM — Market street and funfair, performances on four stages
- 2:00 PM — Seefest Cup sailing regatta on the Müritz
- Historical encampment of the Morizaner clan behind the town wall on Predigerstrasse
- Approx. 10:45 PM — Grand fireworks display over the Müritz with musical accompaniment
Sunday — July 19, 2026
- From 10:00 AM — Market street and family program
- Musical morning pint (Frühschoppen) at the harbor
- Live music and festival finale until the afternoon
