A Crossover Format on the Mosel
For decades, the Mosel has been one of Germany's most popular motorcycle regions — the winding riverside roads and the Hunsrück ascents attract bikers from all over the country. With Moseltourer meets Weinfest, the local municipality of Leiwen has created a format that specifically appeals to this community and connects it with Mosel wine culture. Those arriving by motorcycle will find wine, food, and live music — those who come for the wine will immerse themselves in a motorcycle culture typical of the Mosel region.
The Mosel as a Biker's Paradise
The B53 along the Mosel from Trier to Koblenz, the Hunsrück-Höhenstraße, and the Eifel passes make the region one of the most popular destinations for touring riders. Leiwen is strategically located between Trier and Bernkastel-Kues and is a natural stopover point. The Moseltourer meet has established itself as a regional biker meeting and was combined with the wine festival format in 2025.
