Kerwa in the Steigerwald
The Kirchweih Scheinfeld is one of the fixed traditional dates in the district of Neustadt a.d.Aisch-Bad Windsheim in the state of Bavaria. Scheinfeld is a small town on the edge of the Steigerwald, known among other things for the nearby Schwarzenberg Castle. Its Kirchweih – affectionately called "Kerwa" in Franconia – is much more than a folk festival: it brings together clubs and citizens for several days.
Marquee, Music, and Customs
During the Kirchweih, the marquee operations, brass and party music, and Franconian catering ensure a lively atmosphere. The traditional "Kerwa" includes the raising of the Kirchweih tree and the cherished customs of the Kärwaburschen and -madli (Kirchweih boys and girls). A market and a funfair with rides complete the offerings.
Sports Program and Fireworks
Beyond the classic marquee, the Scheinfeld Kirchweih offers a varied program with music, sports, and market. The highlight and atmospheric conclusion is traditionally a fireworks display that concludes the Kirchweih days.

According to the official Kirchweih overview of the Neustadt a.d.Aisch-Bad Windsheim district, the Kirchweih Scheinfeld 2026 will take place from August 29 to September 2.
During the Kirchweih days, marquee operations, brass and party music, Franconian catering, as well as a market and a funfair will provide a lively atmosphere. A sports program complements the offerings, and fireworks provide the traditional conclusion. The exact daily program will be announced by the city of Scheinfeld in advance.
