Tessin is not called the flower town for nothing – and with the summer opening at the Tessin South Sea natural swimming pool, summer begins for the small town north of Güstrow. The opening festival marks the official start of the bathing season at the leisure complex.
A natural swimming pool with many possibilities
The Tessin South Sea is a natural swimming pool whose water is kept clean through biological self-purification and filters without chemical disinfectants. The complex offers a large water slide, a diving island, a non-swimmer area, 25-meter swimming lanes, a separate children's pool, play equipment, as well as a beach volleyball and a football field. An extensive sunbathing lawn, beach chairs for rent, gastronomic offers, and free parking complete the leisure facilities.
Festival for families
The summer opening is designed as a convivial family afternoon: family activities, the participation of local clubs, and catering make the day a cheerful start to the bathing summer at the Tessin South Sea.
South Sea Opening — edition 2026
The 2026 summer opening will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 1 PM to 6 PM at the Tessin South Sea natural swimming pool. With the festival, the leisure complex of the flower town of Tessin officially kicks off the bathing summer.
A family afternoon is offered, where the Tessin South Sea opens its gates with its water slide, diving island, children's pool, and sunbathing lawn. Local clubs participate, along with catering and family activities.
