Two days of creative fair focusing on knitting wool, crochet yarn, and textile crafts at the Schützenhof Paderborn
The Wolle-Festival Paderborn is the regional creative fair for everyone passionate about wool, yarn, textile crafts, and handicrafts. On May 30th and 31st, 2026, the event will open its doors for the first time at the Schützenhof Paderborn, Schützenplatz 1 — a larger and more accessible location than previous venues. The organizer is Lorenz GmbH, an experienced organizer of such creative fairs in Germany.
At the Wolle-Festival, selected exhibitors will present their range. You will find:
Some exhibitors will offer exclusive festival editions only for this weekend — a good reason to come early.
The fair will be accompanied by a workshop program: introductory courses in knitting, crocheting, spinning, and felting, as well as special topics like mosaic knitting, brioche technique, or matching colors with wool. Workshops are subject to a fee and should be booked in advance. At the exhibitor booths, additional free live demonstrations will take place.
The Schützenhof at Schützenplatz 1 is one of Paderborn's most traditional event venues. Large hall, good acoustics, friendly atmosphere — and above all, accessible. Parking is available directly at the building, and the entrance is at ground level. In the foyer, a small catering service offers coffee, cake, and small snacks.
Paderborn is arguably the best-known city in Ostwestfalen-Lippe, with around 152,000 inhabitants, a venerable university, and a lively city center around the Pader springs and the cathedral. The city is conveniently located — the A33 and A44 intersect here, and the main train station serves ICE connections towards Hanover, Cologne, and Frankfurt.
