The Teich- und Anlagenfest Geringswalde 2026 will take place on the last weekend of August. Mobile funfair, lantern procession around the pond on Friday evening, model boat and aircraft shows, and a traditional stage program. Free admission.

In 2026, the Teichfest will continue the long-standing Geringswalde tradition. Fairground attractions, the evening lantern procession around the decorated pond, model building shows, and a stage program will mark the two days of festivities. By car: A4 motorway (exit Hainichen or Geringswalde), then country road. By train: Take the Erzgebirgsbahn from Chemnitz or Leipzig to Geringswalde (limited service).

The Teich- und Anlagenfest Geringswalde – or Teichfest for short – has been part of the identity of this small town in Mittelsachsen for decades. Geringswalde, in the Mittelsachsen district, developed from a monastic town and boasts a green festival meadow in the heart of the town with its central pond and surrounding parklands. This is where the cultural highlight of the year takes place on the last weekend of August.
