About FAC Festival

The FAC Festival at the Schlachthof cultural center is a one-day festival that puts outstanding FLINTA* artists in the spotlight. The Femme Art Club brings virtuoso female musicians of all genres, sharp-tongued cabaret artists, eloquent authors, and avant-garde performers to the stage of the Kesselhalle. The lineup ranges from Hip-Hop to Noise-Rock and Grunge to Punk – and ends with a joint FAC choir for mass karaoke. All genders are welcome.

A loud statement from Bremen's Schlachthof

The FAC Festival is more than just a concert evening: it's a declaration. FAC stands for Femme Art Club and, at the same time, for a loud FAC directed at all gatekeepers of the event industry. The festival consistently puts FLINTA* artists – Women, Lesbians, Inter, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender people – in the spotlight, questioning cis-male dominance on stage. Explicitly, all genders are welcome, because structures only change when everyone is on board.

The venue is the Kesselhalle in the Schlachthof cultural center on Findorffstraße in the Findorff district – one of the most traditional venues in Bremen's free and alternative cultural scene. The festival combines music, performance, literature, and networking in a single day.

Cross-genre lineup

The program is deliberately diverse: Hip-Hop, Noise-Rock, Grunge, and Punk meet literature and performance. Artists such as Wa22ermann (Rap and production between Hip-Hop, Techno, and Jazz), the author Şeyda Kurt, the art-pop band Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys, or the Punk-Grunge band 24/7 Diva Heaven shape the 2026 edition. The finale is traditionally a joint FAC choir: a mass karaoke with Pony Tyler, where the audience becomes the headliner.

Bremen's subculture in its purest form

The FAC Festival is typical of Bremen's political, feminist, and experimental cultural scene. Anyone who wants to get to know the Hanseatic city from its subcultural, engaged side will find themselves in the right place at the Schlachthof.
