Haßlinghausen becomes a Street Food Stage

The Street Food Festival Haßlinghausen is one of the growing festival destinations for modern gastronomy and live music in the Ennepe-Ruhr district. From May 14th to 16th, 2026, the parking lot behind the Sparkasse Haßlinghausen on Mittelstraße will be transformed into a three-day street food stage with a top-class musical program. The organizer is Sven Kadelka, a local event manager with experience in the Sprockhövel area.

The Musical Program — A Mallorca Star Comes to Bergisches

Thursday, May 14th, 2026 — Father's Day with SMITHY

The festival kicks off on Father's Day with:

• DJ Sven Kadelka with Schlager and party classics
• Live cover band SMITHY with rock and pop hits

Opening hours: 10 AM-11 PM — the entire Father's Day becomes a festival.

Friday, May 15th, 2026 — Latin Rhythms with Hot Banditoz

The Latin trio Hot Banditoz — known from numerous Mallorca shows and the German Latin Schlager scene — brings their hits to the stage. Opening hours 5 PM-12 AM — Friday evening becomes a Latin night.

Saturday, May 16th, 2026 — Lorenz Büffel as Headliner

The absolute highlight: Lorenz Büffel, one of the most famous Austrian party Schlager singers, a regular at the Megapark in Mallorca, comes to Haßlinghausen with DJ Sven Kadelka. First, the local fire department band plays in the afternoon, and in the evening, DJ and Lorenz Büffel take over the stage. Opening hours 2 PM-12 AM — the long festival day concludes with Mallorca vibes in the Bergisches region.

Over 10 International Food Stalls

The culinary program features over 10 international food trucks and mobile kitchens:

• Burgers in creative variations

The Venue — Central in Haßlinghausen

The parking lot behind Sparkasse Haßlinghausen on Mittelstraße is a centrally located, easily accessible area in the Sprockhövel district. During the festival, the space becomes a festival ground with food trucks around a stage, plus standing tables, seating, and catering areas. The compact size creates an intimate atmosphere — not a huge festival site, but a solution suitable for a small town.

Sprockhövel and Haßlinghausen

Sprockhövel (around 25,000 inhabitants) is located in the Ennepe-Ruhr district between Wuppertal and Hattingen. The district of Haßlinghausen is the northern main center of the town, with Mittelstraße as its central axis. The Street Food Festival is one of the most important local events, enriching city life and bringing guests from the surrounding area to Bergisches.

An Established Tradition with a Twist

The format has established itself in Sprockhövel in recent years — previously held at Rathausplatz Sprockhövel-Süd, it now takes place at the Haßlinghausen parking lot with an expanded area. The combination of street food and a major musical program — Lorenz Büffel as a Mallorca star in Bergisches — makes the festival an unusual hybrid that attracts both foodies and Schlager fans.
