The Spring Singing of the Neubrandenburg Choirs is a joint choir concert that brings together several choirs from the Four-Tore-Stadt (City of Four Gates) in the Neubrandenburg Konzertkirche. The organizer and participating choir is the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Choir e.V.
Generations on One Stage
The special feature of the Spring Singing: choirs of all age groups perform together — from primary school choirs through youth and adult choirs to senior choirs. Each choir presents its spring repertoire, creating a varied program of folk and spring songs, choral classics, and modern arrangements. The concert is a showcase of Neubrandenburg's vibrant choir scene.
The Konzertkirche as a Sound Space
The venue is the Neubrandenburg Konzertkirche — the Gothic St. Mary's Church, which was converted into a concert hall in 2001 according to the design of Finnish architect Pekka Salminen, with a modern concert hall made of glass, concrete, steel, and wood. Its acoustics make it the ideal setting for choral sound.
