Steinhagen — Westphalian municipality in the Gütersloh district

Steinhagen, a municipality with around 21,000 inhabitants in the Gütersloh district (Detmold administrative region), is located between Bielefeld and Halle (Westf.) in Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Characterized by its scenic location on the Teutoburg Forest and an active sense of local identity. The Sommerkirmes, alongside the Brunnenfest in Halle and the Gütersloh Kirmes, is one of the most important folk festivals in the region.

Town Center and Fivizzano Square

The fair is spread across Steinhagen's town center — Hauptstraße, Marktplatz, and the central Fivizzano Square, named after its Italian partner city Fivizzano in Tuscany. The music stage is typically set up on Fivizzano Square — live bands and music acts perform on Friday evening and Saturday. The rides and food stalls are located around it.

• Saturday: Full operation with all rides, live acts on stage, opening of the flea market
• Sunday: Family Day with discounted ride tickets, Sunday morning pint, balloon artist, and magic show for children
• Flea Market: Saturday and Sunday around the village church — residents' sales, antiques, handicrafts

Fivizzano — Italian Partner City

Fivizzano Square commemorates the Italian partner city Fivizzano in Tuscany — Steinhagen has had a town twinning with the Italian municipality for decades and maintains regular exchange programs. During the Sommerkirmes, the square becomes the musical center, and some stalls offer typical Italian food (pizza, gelato) — a cultural link that distinguishes the event from purely Westphalian fair formats.
