Anniversary Summer Festival 10 Years Finow District Association at Schwanenteich
In 2026, the Finow District Association e.V. will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Founded in 2016 as a citizens' initiative for the Eberswalde district of Finow, the association has become an integral part of local social life — it organizes a neighborhood café, youth meetups, neighborly help, and the annual summer festival. The 2026 anniversary summer festival will be particularly elaborate: two days, many performers, an expanded program compared to previous years.
The event kicks off with DJ Kevin Miller on Friday evening, June 12, 2026. The opening program begins with the official welcome and a celebratory speech by the association's chairwoman before the dance floor opens. A mix of 80s, 90s, and current pop hits is expected — deliberately family-friendly, as the festival is intended to appeal to all generations.
Saturday, June 13, 2026 is family day. On the program: a children's choir from the Eberswalde school choir network, face painting, a clown performance, and — a real Eberswalde specialty — an animal show by Eberswalde Zoo directly on the festival grounds. Eberswalde Zoo is one of Brandenburg's most traditional zoos and is regularly present at the summer festival with its keepers and small wild animals.
The event concludes on Saturday evening with the live band "Right Now". The band comes from the Berlin and Brandenburg cover scene and plays a mix of rock, pop, and 80s classics — ideal for a summer evening festival concert by the Schwanenteich.
The Schwanenteich is a small lake in the Eberswalde district of Finow, about 5 km west of the city center. The pond with its walking paths and the festival meadow on its banks is a classic meeting place for district festivals in Finow — and the district association's annual summer festival has been the most important event in the district's calendar for years.
