Three-day city festival in Singen's city center — Hegau capital on Lake Constance
Singen am Hohentwiel (around 49,800 inhabitants) is the largest city in the district of Konstanz and is located in the Hegau — a volcanic landscape with characteristic cone-shaped mountains on the western shore of Lake Constance. The Hohentwiel — Singen's landmark — at 686 meters high, is one of the most striking volcanic cones in Central Europe, crowned by an impressive fortress ruin. Singen is an industrial city (Maggi, aluminum smelters) and a shopping magnet for the Hegau region — a multicultural city with a significant Italian, Turkish, and Eastern European community.
The Singener Stadtfest is the city's central summer festival event. In 2026, it runs from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26, 2026. Three days of festival mile in the city center — the main axis August-Ruf-Straße and the parallel and intersecting Erzbergerstraße, Hegaustraße, and Scheffelstraße will be closed off and used for stages, stands, and seating areas. Thousands of visitors from Singen, the Hegau, the Lake Constance district, and Switzerland will use the festival weekend.
Characteristic of the Singener Stadtfest are several music stages with different styles — distributed across the festival mile. The program ranges from:
A special feature is the combination with the Landesmusikfestival Baden-Württemberg on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Fanfares, choirs, and ensembles from all over the federal state will come to Singen — performances on the stages, parades through the city center, joint singing, and music-making. The Landesmusikfestival is an initiative coordinated by the Landesmusikrat Baden-Württemberg, which selects a host city every few years — in 2026, Singen is a co-host for the fanfare band segment.
The gastronomic offerings reflect Singen's multiculturalism. Associations, migrant communities, and Singen restaurateurs operate stands with:
The organizer is Singen aktiv Standortmarketing — the city's marketing company, which coordinates all major Singen events. It works closely with Singen's retailers, restaurateurs, associations, and migrant communities.
The 2026 Stadtfest will animate Singen's city center axis over three days. Several music stages will ensure genre diversity — from German pop and Schlager to international sounds from Singen's migrant communities and younger indie and hip-hop acts. International association cuisine along the festival mile.
On Saturday, the traditional connection with the Landesmusikfestival — fanfares, choirs, and ensembles from all over the federal state will provide additional program points. The detailed program will be published in early summer 2026 on singen-aktiv.de.
Free admission. Food and drinks at association stands at festival prices.
