Four-day brass music festival of the Musikverein Worblingen 1908 in the orchard by Lake Constance
The Gartenfest Musikverein Worblingen is one of the most traditional club festivals in the western Lake Constance region. The organizer is the Musikverein Worblingen 1908 e.V. – one of the oldest brass music clubs in the district of Konstanz (state of Baden-Württemberg). The venue is the orchard at the Oberwiesen sports facilities in the Worblingen district of the municipality of Rielasingen-Worblingen.
The garden festival spans four days – traditionally from Friday to Monday in early July. The concept is classic:
What makes the Worblingen garden festival special is its location in an orchard. Old apple and pear trees form a natural roof over the beer table sets, and the Hegau mountains rise on the horizon – that extinct volcanic region with its characteristic cones (Hohenkrähen, Hohentwiel, Hohenstoffeln) that shapes the landscape between Lake Constance and the Black Forest. A balmy summer evening in the Worblingen orchard is one of the most beautiful Southern German festival experiences.
The municipality of Rielasingen-Worblingen (~12,000 inhabitants) is located in the Hegau region near the Swiss border, about 10 kilometers west of Konstanz and north of Singen. The landscape is characterized by scattered orchards, vineyards, and views of the Hegau volcanic cones. Worblingen itself is the northwestern district and is one of the rural-traditional parts of the municipality with active club life. Visitors to the garden festival can combine their stay with a hike up the Hohentwiel (fortress ruins), a visit to Lake Constance, or a trip to Konstanz and the island of Mainau.
From July 3 to 6, 2026, the Musikverein Worblingen 1908 will host its traditional garden festival. The venue is the idyllic orchard at the Oberwiesen sports facilities in the Worblingen district of Rielasingen-Worblingen. Over the four festival days – Friday to Monday – brass orchestras and guest bands from the western Lake Constance region will perform on the festival stage. Highlights include the festival opening on Friday evening with keg tapping, the main evening on Saturday with dance music, the Sunday Frühschoppen with Vesper, and the family program on Sunday afternoon with concerts by guest orchestras. The Vereinsküche will offer Swabian-Baden specialties – Bratwurst, steaks, Maultaschen, Vesperteller – as well as draught beer and regional wines. The old apple trees and the view of the Hegau volcanic cones create the unique Gartenfest atmosphere.
Rielasingen-Worblingen is accessible via the A81 (Stuttgart–Singen), exit Singen. By train: Rielasingen-Worblingen station (Schwarzwaldbahn Singen–Schaffhausen). From the station, a short walk to the Worblingen district. Parking available at the Oberwiesen sports facilities.
Free admission.
Combine your festival visit with an excursion to the Hohentwiel fortress ruins, a boat trip on Lake Constance, or a visit to the island of Mainau (~30 min. drive).
