Open-Air Concerts on Sellin Beach

Sellin on Rügen, with its 394-meter-long pier, is one of the most iconic locations on the German Baltic Sea coast. Right here, directly on the beach in front of the white pier architecture, the municipality sets up a small arena in the summer, where the Selliner Sommerkonzerte Open Air have been held for several years. With a capacity of around 3,000 seats, the concerts are significantly more intimate than the large Baltic Sea open-airs in Greifswald, Heringsdorf, or Kühlungsborn — and that's precisely its charm: you stand in the sand, the stage is a few steps away, with the pier and the sea behind it.

2026 Line-up — Three Highlights in Midsummer

In 2026, the concerts are spread across the last week of July and the first day of August, right in Rügen's peak season:

• Friday, July 24, 2026 — BOSSE: The Hamburg-based singer-songwriter with his melancholic, warm pop anthems from albums like »Übers Träumen«, »Engtanz«, and »Sunnyside« — an artist who has significantly shaped German-language pop music of the 2010s.
• Friday, July 31, 2026 — Gestört aber GeiL: The Magdeburg-based electronic duo between Deep House, Techno, and Vocal Pop — the perfect beach backdrop for »Ich & Du«, »Unter meiner Haut«, and more.
• Saturday, August 1, 2026 — Christian Steiffen: The self-proclaimed "God of Schlager" with his ironically over-the-top art project, a blend of Schlager parody and pop performance.

Entry is from 6:00 PM each day, with performances usually starting around 8:00 PM — the evening begins with DJ sets. Tickets are available via Reservix, Eventim, ADticket, and oeticket, with prices starting from approx. €34.50.

Atmosphere and Location

Unlike traditional festivals, there is no second stage, no camping grounds, and no multi-day program. The Selliner Sommerkonzerte are *singular open-air events* — you come from your guesthouse, the beach, or directly from a restaurant, attend the concert, and then return to the Sellin promenade. The concerts are not cordoned off in the sense of a festival site, but tickets are clearly required, and the area in front of the stage is only accessible to ticket holders. Outside this area, the entire Baltic Sea resort experiences the concerts as a background soundtrack.
