Three Countries, One Wine Festival
Ochsenfurt, located on the Main in the Würzburg district, is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in the Franconian wine region. Once a year, the historic town moat below the Palatium transforms into a charming wine garden: at the German-French-Italian Wine Festival, Franconian, French, and Italian white and red wines meet – a delightful encounter of three European wine cultures.
Romantic Setting in the Town Moat
The venue is the romantic town moat at Kellereistraße 11, below the district administration building and the "Dicker Turm" (Fat Tower). The historic city wall backdrop lends the festival a special atmosphere. The wine festival is organized by the Ochsenfurt Football Club, which has been organizing the event on a voluntary basis for many years.

Wine Culture in the Franconian Wine Region
The Franconian wine region around Würzburg and Ochsenfurt is one of Germany's most traditional wine-growing areas. With its international concept, the Ochsenfurt Wine Festival sets its own accent: here, Franconian wine is consciously placed in dialogue with French and Italian vintages – European wine culture to taste and compare, embedded in a medieval ambiance.
