Seebühne Bremen – Northern Germany's only waterside stage
When the days are longest in July, Bremen has its own summer hotspot: the Seebühne directly on the Weser river. Here, the music plays against a backdrop that no other concert venue in Northern Germany can offer – with the river as a natural projection screen and the vast sky of Bremen's west as its roof. In 2026, the Seebühne begins its sixth season, running for five and a half weeks, from July 17th to August 23rd.
26 Dates from World Stars to Tribute Shows
The programme in 2026 remains remarkably diverse: The Jacksons bring Motown glamour to the Weser, NENA and Alphaville revive the 80s, Gregory Porter provides elegant vocal jazz, Beth Hart delivers blues-rock with passion, and David Garrett blends classical music with crossover. The line-up is complemented by tribute shows such as Pink Floyd, Phil Collins/Genesis, or ABBA Gold, as well as theatre ('Jedermann'), comedy, and classical crossover ('Philharmonic Rock').
Hanseatic City of Bremen – A Summer Ritual by the Water
The Seebühne is more than just a stage – it's a summer ritual for Bremen's residents and visitors. Before and after the concerts, you can stroll along the Weser embankment, visit nearby eateries, and enjoy the maritime flair of the Hanseatic city. Its location is a tribute to Bremen's Hanseatic identity: those experiencing concerts here are essentially sitting with their feet by the water. The Seebühne is organised by MTB Betriebs GmbH, which has been filling a gap in the Northern German open-air calendar with this project since 2021.
Tickets, Travel, Seating
Tickets are exclusively available through Nordwest-Ticket and the Seebühne website. Prices vary greatly depending on the artist – from around 50 Euros for tribute shows to significantly three-digit amounts for the major headliners. Travel by tram is possible; parking spaces are limited, so organisers recommend public transport or cycling.
