When the meadow by Vahrer See becomes a playground
There are festivals that belong entirely to children — the VAHRinale is exactly one of them. For four days, the Bürgerzentrum Neue Vahr transforms the meadow by Vahrer See into a large adventure playground for children and young people. From July 2nd to 5th, 2026, young guests can expect a packed program of creativity, games, and stage performances — a firmly established, lovingly organized event in the summer calendar of eastern Bremen.
Creativity, stage, and games
The focus is on a wide range of creative activities: from crafting and making to hands-on activities and outdoor fun in the green. A stage provides entertainment, while games and activities invite participation. The concept is deliberately accessible and family-friendly — a festival for everyone, where the emphasis is on shared experiences rather than consumption.
Neighborhood work that is fun
The VAHRinale is a prime example of how socio-cultural work can look in the neighborhood: With the festival, the Bürgerzentrum Neue Vahr brings children, families, and neighbors together by the water, strengthening community spirit in the district. Beyond pure entertainment, the festival is part of ongoing youth and neighborhood work that gives Vahr a vibrant identity.

From July 2nd to 5th, 2026, the Bürgerzentrum Neue Vahr invites you to the VAHRinale on the meadow by Vahrer See. For four days, there will be plenty of creative activities, crafting sessions, a stage program, and games for children and young people — a family-friendly festival for everyone.

The VAHRinale is the big holiday project of the Bürgerzentrum Neue Vahr for children and young people. For several days, the meadow in front of Vahrer See transforms into an adventure area with creative and hands-on activities – imagination knows no bounds.
Stage Program
- Juggling, magic, singing, and Zumba on stage
- Dance groups inviting all children and young people to join in
- Hosted by the "Vahrer Movement Miracle": the Crazy Juggler

- Bouncy castle
- Face painting and bubble artists
