Berlin's Schlager Capital – Zentraler Festplatz Reinickendorf
The Zentraler Festplatz on Kurt-Schumacher-Damm 207 in the Reinickendorf district is Berlin's most traditional large event space. It hosts funfairs, concerts, folk festivals (Volksfeste), and the German-American Volksfest throughout the year. Every May, SchlagerOlymp takes over the venue, transforming it into Berlin's biggest Schlager stage.
Over 15 Schlager Stars in One Day
The concept is simple and proven: a single festival day, over 15 stars performing one after another on stage, each with their most famous hits. Headliners in 2026 include Heino (the patriarch of German Schlager), Nino de Angelo (“Jenseits von Eden”), Bernhard Brink, Sotiria, Anna-Carina Woitschack, and Vincent Gross. They are joined by other acts from the middle and younger Schlager generations – the lineup changes every year, but the format remains constant.
14th Edition in 2026
SchlagerOlymp has been running since 2013 and celebrates its 14th edition in 2026. The event is organized by Berliner Festplatz GmbH together with Super Ticket, who have established the festival as an annual major event. The event is designed to be family-friendly, with all age groups mingling – older Berlin Schlager fans, families with children, young adults arriving in attire like cowboy hats and plaid shirts.
Logistics – Berlin's Largest Schlager Event
Up to 30,000 visitors are expected throughout the day. The Zentraler Festplatz offers the infrastructure for large events – a main stage with large screens, standing and seating areas, several catering zones, sanitary facilities, and a security concept. Admission begins early in the morning (10 AM), and the program runs with short breaks from early afternoon until late evening.
