Classical Music Festival between Osnabrück, Münster and Enschede – 29th Edition 2026
The Euregio – the German-Dutch border region between the Weser, Ems, and IJssel rivers – has seen itself as a common cultural area for decades. The Euregio Musikfestival takes this claim seriously, bringing together audiences from Germany and the Netherlands with its venues in Osnabrück, Münster, Enschede, and Hengelo. Since its first edition in the late 1990s, the festival has established itself as a fixture.
The musical spectrum ranges from classical symphony concerts, chamber music, and song recitals to crossover programs that blend classical, jazz, and entertainment music. This allows the festival to reach a broad audience – from classical aficionados to concertgoers who appreciate entertaining programs.
The Osnabrück opening in 2026 on April 9 will feature the Bundesjugendorchester and the Bundesjazzorchester together on one stage. Both ensembles are considered flagships of German youth talent promotion and stand for the highest musical quality.
The official opening concert will take place on May 10, 2026, in the MCC Halle Münsterland: Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester will present their program of 1920s classics and their own pieces in their unmistakable style, balancing elegance and a wink.
The festival presents concerts in various formats and venues over nearly eight weeks. The program structure follows a curated line between classical, jazz, and entertainment music.
Detailed program, artist lists, and ticket information will be published by the organizer in due course at euregio-musikfestival.de.
