Berlin's Showmen Season Ends in Autumn
The Zentraler Festplatz at Kurt-Schumacher-Damm in Reinickendorf is Berlin's largest permanently used funfair site — hosting the Spring Festival, Berlin Summer Funfair, and finally the Berliner Herbstrummel throughout the year. With the Herbstrummel, the Berlin Showmen's Association e. V. concludes its annual season; a full month of programming during the transition from late summer to early autumn.
September 25 to October 25, 2026
In 2026, the Berliner Herbstrummel runs from September 25 to October 25 — exactly one month continuously (with Mondays/Tuesdays as rest days). Opening on Friday, September 25; closing on Sunday, October 25. The venue is the Zentraler Festplatz Berlin at Kurt-Schumacher-Damm 207 in 13405 Berlin (Reinickendorf).
80 Showmen, from Classics to High-Tech Rides
Around 80 showmen set up their attractions on the fairground: classic chain carousels and dodgems, a Ferris wheel, haunted house, family water ride, children's carousels, plus modern high-tech rides. Shooting galleries, candy stalls, bratwurst, crêpes, and currywurst stands, as well as several beer gardens, complement the offerings. Admission to the fairground is free; payment is per attraction (typically €3–€8 per ride).
Two Fireworks Displays as Highlights
The programmatic highlight is the two fireworks displays on the Fridays around the opening and closing of the festival: Friday, September 25, 2026, and Friday, October 23, 2026, both at 10:00 PM. Both dates are also clearly visible from adjacent districts (Saatwinkel, Tegel, Jungfernheide) — the fairground is located very close to open spaces and the city border.
Reinickendorf — Berlin's Outskirts with Fair Tradition
Reinickendorf is one of Berlin's largest districts and, with the Zentraler Festplatz, hosts the capital's most important funfair venue. Accessible via U-Bahn line U7 to Jungfernheide or S-Bahn (S41/S42/S46) to Jungfernheide, then bus 109/X9 to the fairground. In the state of Berlin, the Herbstrummel is among the last major funfair dates before the start of the Advent markets and is a must-visit for all who love Berlin's showman tradition.
