Over 300 beers from around the world in Andernach's largest beer garden on the Rhine promenade
The Beer Festival is a nationally renowned event series that has been presenting an exceptionally wide international range of beers to beer lovers in over 30 cities for decades. In Andernach, the charming town on the Middle Rhine, the Beer Festival is taking place for the fourth time in 2026 – a testament to the format's rapid success in the region.
The venue is the Rheinanlagen, a park-like riverside promenade along the Rhine, ideally suited for such an open-air festival. With views of the passing ships, the opposite Left Rhine bank, and the typical Middle Rhine scenery, the beer garden becomes a relaxed meeting point for locals and visitors alike.
Around 30 exhibitors bring their range: regional breweries from the Rhineland and the Eifel, German specialties from Bavaria, Franconia, and the North, as well as international beers from Belgium (Trappist, Lambics, Saisons), the Czech Republic (Pilsner, dark lagers), England (Ales and Stouts), Scandinavia, the USA (Craft Beer), and many other countries. In total, over 300 different beers are available for tasting – a selection that will amaze even seasoned beer enthusiasts.
The concept: Visitors buy a glass and move from stall to stall. At each stall, they can tap a beer of their choice. This allows for individual tasting tours through international beer culture. The offering is complemented by a selection of matching street food: hearty burgers, international specialties, vegetarian options, and classics like bratwurst and fries.
Live music on the festival stage creates the atmosphere – usually cover bands and party bands that fit the relaxed vibe. Over the weekend, the Rhine park transforms into a lively festival mile. Free admission: The Beer Festival relies on visitors consuming on-site, thus maintaining a casual, family-friendly character.
The 4th edition continues the successful format established in previous years. The venue is once again the Andernach Rhine park – one of the most beautiful urban festival sites on the Middle Rhine. The concept is proven: decentralized stalls with an international beer selection, combined with street food and live music.
