Running highlight through the heart of Rosenheim's city center
The Rosenheim City Run is the annual running highlight of the city of Rosenheim in the district of the same name in the state of Bavaria. Organized by PTSV Rosenheim, the event has developed into a real brand in the Bavarian running calendar over the years – also thanks to hosting Bavarian championships as part of the run.
The appeal of the City Run lies in its course: The starting gun fires on Prinzregentenstraße, from there the route leads through the heart of Rosenheim's city center. The finish line is on the atmospheric, historic Max-Josefs-Platz – the heart of the old town with its characteristic arcades. The inner-city route ensures a large crowd and a special atmosphere.
The City Run offers competitions for every level:
Thus, the run appeals to ambitious competitors as well as hobby athletes and families from the region.
In 2026, the City Run recorded a new record with over 1,700 registrations. The high participation underscores the importance of the event for running in Upper Bavaria and the appeal of PTSV Rosenheim as the organizer.
The 35th Rosenheim City Run was held in 2026 on Sunday, April 19. The starting gun fired at 10 AM on Prinzregentenstraße, and the finish line was on the historic Max-Josefs-Platz.
With over 1,700 registrations, the run achieved a record number of participants; 1,469 finishers were counted – including 63 in the children's run, 240 in the hobby run, and 1,166 in the 10 km main run. Simone Dehling (CIS Amberg) won the women's race in 35:58 minutes, and Nick Jäger (Franconia Athletics) won the men's race in 30:38 minutes. The organizer was PTSV Rosenheim.
