Regionalpark Barnimer Feldmark – 30 Years of Urban-Rural Nature Conservation

The Regionalpark Barnimer Feldmark is one of Germany's oldest and largest urban-rural nature conservation projects. Founded in 1996 as an association, it now covers an area of around 36,000 hectares in the districts of Barnim and Märkisch-Oderland, as well as the Berlin districts of Lichtenberg/Hellersdorf. The aim is to combine nature conservation, traditional agriculture, and gentle local recreation in the northeastern outskirts of Berlin.

26th Regionalparkfest 2026 – Anniversary Celebration

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., the Regionalpark Association will celebrate the 26th edition of the Regionalparkfest – also marking the 30th anniversary of the association. The venue is the Lenné Park in the Blumberg district of the municipality of Ahrensfelde (Barnim district).

Lenné Park – Historic Garden Monument

The Lenné Park Blumberg is a historic garden monument from the mid-19th century, likely based on a design by the famous Prussian garden architect Peter Joseph Lenné (1789–1866) – the creator of many significant Prussian palace parks (Sanssouci Palace Park, Tiergarten Berlin). The park was originally part of the Blumberg manor.

Program 2026 (In Preparation)

The complete festival program will be published in spring 2026. Based on the proven tradition of previous editions, the following elements can be expected:

• Family program with nature education stations.
• Market of regional providers from the Barnimer Feldmark (honey, jams, sausages, cheese, juices).
• Live music on the festival stage.
• Lenné Park tours explaining garden history.
• Nature conservation lectures and information stands from conservation partners.
• Children's program with games, face painting, and crafts.
• Riding demonstrations and horse-drawn carriage rides.
• Food trucks with regional specialties.
• Dancing in the evening in Lenné Park.

The Regionalpark Barnimer Feldmark e.V. is based at Bahnhofstraße 2, 16356 Ahrensfelde OT Blumberg. The association is supported by numerous municipalities, districts, and the state of Berlin and manages hiking trails, show gardens, nature trails, and events such as the annual Regionalparkfest.
