Four Days of Festival Weekend
The Flintbeker Dorffest is the communal highlight of the Flintbek municipality, held on a two-year cycle. Instead of a classic one-day village festival, the 2026 event will span four days — from Thursday, September 10th, to Sunday, September 13th. The Flintbek Business Association coordinates the program together with the Flintbek municipality and local clubs.
2026: Festival Weekend with Outdoor Pool Anniversary
The 2026 edition has a special occasion — the Flintbek outdoor pool is turning 60 years old. The anniversary will be part of the festival weekend:
- Thursday, September 10th, 2026: After-Work Party at the outdoor pool — young musicians, cold drinks, summer vibes
- Saturday, September 12th, 2026: 60th Anniversary of Flintbek Outdoor Pool with DJ Garry Mangels, festival tent, light show, and festive atmosphere
- Sunday, September 13th, 2026, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Trade Exhibition in the Edeka parking lot — members of the Business Association present their businesses, live music from various bands, program for all ages
Additionally, on Sunday, September 6th, 2026, at 2 p.m.: the traditional "Abbaden" (season closing swim) at the outdoor pool — swimming, socializing, and bidding farewell to the summer season.
The Trade Exhibition on Sunday
The focus of the public festival day is the large trade exhibition organized by the Flintbek Business Association. Member businesses set up information and sales stands in the Edeka-Albrechtsen parking lot — from craftspeople to service providers, from retailers to restaurateurs. The exhibition showcases Flintbek's economic landscape in a relaxed Sunday format with live music, catering, and activities for the whole family.

The municipality of Flintbek is located in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, directly southwest of Kiel. With nearly 7,000 inhabitants, it is an attractive residential community in the Kiel metropolitan area — the Flintbek Business Association, with its over 100 member businesses, reflects this vibrant local economy. The village festival is an opportunity to make the community's social network visible.

The 2026 edition has a special occasion: the Flintbek outdoor pool is turning 60 years old. The anniversary on Saturday, September 12th, is part of the festival weekend and will be celebrated with DJ Garry Mangels, a festival tent, and a light show. The trade exhibition on Sunday remains the public focal point — member businesses of the Flintbek Business Association present their offerings, plus live music from several bands and a family program.
The Flintbek Business Association, which organizes the festival together with the municipality and clubs, represents over 100 member businesses — from craftspeople to service providers. Free admission.
