10th anniversary of the free reggae festival in Konstanz's Stadtgarten on Lake Constance
What began in 2015 as a small reggae concert by a circle of friends around the southvibez collective has become one of the most well-known reggae festivals in Southern Germany: "Reggae in my Garden" celebrates its 10th edition on June 19 and 20, 2026, in Konstanz's Stadtgarten. The venue is the historic concert shell directly on Lake Constance — an open stage architecture from the 1930s, acoustically perfectly designed for open-air concerts. The organizer is the association PIRATENSENDER e.V., together with the southvibez collective.
For its 10th edition, the association is once again bringing an international reggae line-up to Lake Constance — bands and soundsystem acts from Germany, Europe, and Jamaica itself will play on the concert shell. The festival consciously works with a classic soundsystem setup, carrying forward the history of Jamaican sound culture: reggae, dub, roots, dancehall, and ska. The 2026 program will be announced in advance on the social media channels of southvibez and PIRATENSENDER.
One of the defining features of "Reggae in my Garden" is free admission: The festival relies on donations and voluntary commitment. All donation income goes via the organization H.E.L.P. (Health and Education for Life and Prosperity) to schoolchildren in Jamaica — a direct bridge between Jamaican music culture and social aid on the organizers' "favorite Caribbean island.".
Konstanz, with around 84,000 inhabitants, is the largest city on Lake Constance and the district town of the Konstanz district. The Stadtgarten stretches along the shore of Lake Constance directly by Konstanz's old town — a green lung of the city with old trees, lawns, the Konzil building, and the concert shell as the event stage. "Reggae in my Garden" combines the Mediterranean Lake Constance atmosphere with Caribbean flair — a unique combination that has made the festival well-known far beyond the region.
For its 10th edition, "Reggae in my Garden" in 2026 will be a special festival weekend: On Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Lake Constance reggae scene will gather at the concert shell in Konstanz's Stadtgarten. The historic stage architecture directly on the lake provides the ideal open-air backdrop for Jamaican music under a southern summer sky.
PIRATENSENDER e.V. and the southvibez collective will bring an international reggae line-up to Lake Constance in 2026, as they do every year. Reggae, dub, roots, and soundsystem culture are the focus — all donation income goes via the organization H.E.L.P. to schoolchildren in Jamaica.
