About Quartiersfest Osterfeuerberg
Quartiersfest Osterfeuerberg — edition 2026
On June 27 and 28, 2026, the Osterfeuerberg neighbourhood in Bremen-Walle will celebrate its own Quartiersfest for the first time. At the Quartiersplatz on Schleswiger Straße, there will be music, a stage programme, a flea market, and stalls from local community groups. The event is free and replaces the Waller Stadtteilfest, which was discontinued after more than 40 years, with a smaller, neighbourhood-focused format.

Programme Quartiersfest Osterfeuerberg 2026
June 27 and 28, 2026 — Quartiersplatz on Schleswiger Straße, Bremen-Walle
For its premiere, the Kulturhaus Walle Brodelpott will host events on the Quartiersplatz on Schleswiger Straße on the last weekend of June. Planned are:
- Music & Stage Programme — Live acts and performances on the neighbourhood stage
- Flea Market — Stalls for the local community
- Community Group Stalls — Local initiatives and groups from the Walle district introduce themselves
- Refreshments & Socialising — Food, drinks, and neighbourly get-togethers
The Quartiersfest replaces the Waller Stadtteilfest, which was discontinued after more than 40 years, with a deliberately smaller, sustainable format, while retaining its date (the last weekend of June). The detailed programme with individual acts and times is still under preparation and will be announced via the Kulturhaus Walle Brodelpott website. The organisers already have many ideas for using the square more frequently in the future.

A New Festival for the Neighbourhood
Sometimes, a farewell leads to a new beginning. For over four decades, the Kulturhaus Walle Brodelpott hosted the Waller Stadtteilfest, which had grown into one of Bremen's largest street festivals. Due to insufficient personnel and financial resources for an event of this magnitude, the Kulturhaus decided on a fresh start: On June 27 and 28, 2026, the Quartiersfest am Osterfeuerberg will take place for the first time – deliberately smaller, more focused on the neighbourhood, and more sustainable.
Neighbourhood at the Centre
Instead of a large event, the Kulturhaus is focusing on a festival that aligns with its socio-cultural mission. At the Quartiersplatz on Schleswiger Straße, guests can expect music, a stage programme, a flea market, and stalls from local community groups from the district – free of charge and open to all. The concept puts community spirit in the Osterfeuerberg neighbourhood centre stage and provides a platform for local initiatives and neighbours.
A Conscious New Beginning
The Quartiersfest is more than just a replacement: it's an attempt to rethink district culture from the ground up, from the local people themselves. The Kulturhaus remains open to collaborations should a new organiser emerge for a larger district festival – but for now, the energy is focused on the new, streamlined format at Osterfeuerberg, which suits the lively, traditionally Hanseatic character of Bremen's west end.
In the Osterfeuerberg Neighbourhood of Walle
The venue is the Quartiersplatz on Schleswiger Straße in the Osterfeuerberg neighbourhood, Walle district. Its central location in the neighbourhood makes the festival a walkable meeting point for neighbours.
