Charity wine festival in Zimmermannspark for regional social projects
The Weinfest of the Lions Club Zirndorf is one of the most beautiful charity wine festivals in Middle Franconia. In Zimmermannspark, a green oasis in the heart of Zirndorf, the members of the Lions Club Zirndorf organize a two-day open-air wine festival every year, with 100% of the proceeds flowing into regional social projects. A high-quality, yet charitable festival — and that makes it a real insider tip for Middle Franconia.
The Lions Club is a worldwide service club with over a million members globally. The Lions Club Zirndorf has been committed to social projects in the Fürth/Zirndorf region for decades. The wine festival is the club's most important own charity event — organized entirely on a voluntary basis, with wine and food sponsorship from friendly vintners and restaurateurs.
Zimmermannspark is a municipal park laid out in 1924 in the heart of Zirndorf, designed in the style of English landscape gardens. Old trees, well-maintained paths, playgrounds — a perfect festival backdrop for an open-air wine festival in September, when the leaves begin to change color and the evenings are still mild.
Zirndorf (approx. 27,000 inhabitants) is located directly west of Fürth and 15 km west of Nuremberg, in the district of Fürth. The town is known as the 'Toy Town' — Playmobil (the pioneering toy company) and several smaller toy manufacturers are based here. Reachable in 25 minutes from Nuremberg Central Station by S-Bahn line S1.
The 34th edition of the Lions Club Zirndorf wine festival 2026 invites you to Zimmermannspark on the second weekend of September. Friday evening from 5 PM, opening with live music by the band Big Yellow Taxi (Cover/Folk), Saturday evening from 5 PM, performance by the band Golden Hearings (Pop). In between, throughout the festival: a fine selection of German and international wines, diverse hot and cold dishes, an upscale, convivial atmosphere.
The festival is purely a charity event — all proceeds go to regional social projects. In 2026, the Lions Club Zirndorf will once again support the Wünschewagen (last wishes program for terminally ill people), the Clownprojekt e.V. (hospital clowns in children's hospitals), and the Fürther Tafel (food aid for those in need). Free admission, voluntary donations welcome.
